MUSCAT: Oman has postponed the collection of tourism tax from hotels until the first quarter of next year, Minister of Tourism said on Thursday.
Speaking to the media in a weekly press conference, Ahmed Al Mahrazi said the Ministry of Finance has agreed to postpone the 4 percent tourism tax payable during the period from 1 December 2019 to the end of August 2020. “We will collect it from the hotels after recovery,” he said.
